She said she was Ambien tweeting as part of the reason for her stupidity.

The maker of Ambien tweeted this:

Starting getting stuff organized for our upcoming trip which reminds me about what seems to happen on our previous trip. The Mrs will lose or as I like to say, donate to the gear gods, one item. From the last four trips.

Therarest Z-seat
Camping knife
Bike computer
Powerbank for recharging batteries

Thankfully it usually happens on the last day or somewhere on the way home and thankfully most things are cheap to replace.

Properly, if the 1 year old is a close relation, a pipe of Port  in trust with the kid not having access until he/she is old enough to appreciate it  perhaps at 35 or 40 if is is really good vintage port .   2 cases of a true vintage port would be enough rather than a pipe ( which is over 100 gallons).    Three problems. In this benighted puritan country we don't have wine merchants who could store such a purchase. Second problem, finding a liquor board who would even have such a thing to sell.  third   money.


Maybe the modern equivalent would be a few shares in Apple/Amazon/Google or, when it goes public, SpaceX

Most of the body panels were a kind of acrylic. They didn't stand up to weather that well, and there's no good way to restore them, from what I've heard.

One of many, many poor design choices.

Doing a bottle/can drive with the kid this AM, see some people waiving their arms.  Tell my wife to turn around and go see if they need help.  Turns out it's a TV crew or something from Japan...here.  :rofl: So we stop and talk to them - with interpreter (his English not so good...my Japanese...far worse...at least he understood most of what I said...it was all Greek to me  :P ;D)  Wife terrified I answered questions about illegals "you - YOU could get me fired!! You know that!" (no I don't...and if that's the case, eff the gov! Sheesh...they didn't even ask about that...FFS)  I was just awesomed that we (youngest and I) got to meet someone from Japan - in our own! Cool!  Kinda hope I don't make the cut...not that I'll ever know.  :P
