That's a good price, but they are non-dimmable which is a huge strike IMO, that limits where you can use them.

I have LEDs around the house, I replace rooms as a bulb burns out.  With the ontario rebate right now you can get good dimmable bulbs for about $5 each anyways, so that deal isn't amazing.

We have some line-voltage halogen pot lights in the kitchen (8 of them), on a dimmer so you can have low light levels at night.  In the ten years we lived here, I think we only had them all working for about three months total.  Because of the heat generated, they burn out quickly.  I finally found some dimmable LED in a PAR16 form factor, we've had them for almost a year, they work perfectly.

Oh is that costco online?  They probably won't have them in store.  Online and Instore are not the same.  They sometimes have similar items but not that often.

I try to support local businesses when I can. So I stopped in at a tire shop a couple of people I know recommended. Asked for a quote on winter tires. Guy says WS80's, I say sure or something similar.

225/45/17

Comes back at $276 PER TIRE!

I then say something like....I already have wheels to which he replies, that is just for the tire. And then says we are having a 40% off sale. I look down at the paper he is writing on and I see $460/tire listed then discounted.

I was in so much shock from his inflated price I just left and had no response. These should be $200 per at most. Holly crap.

Called Tires23 this morning and now have an appt plus I'm paying less all in than any shop in Cambridge would do for JUST the tires before any fees/taxes. I would have gladly paid a little more to save driving to Toronto but when we are talking $3-400 difference, forget about it.

Yes, I kind of wondered about that.  So that means if there are any rebates available (provincially for example), they wouldn't likely apply.  Bummer...

I've found at the Costco in Saskatoon that if rebates are available from SaskPower that the price you pay includes the rebate.

Just bought a dozen at Costco. Right beside the lights, there were $5 off coupons.

Neat!  In our case, all the departments compete against each other.  We were Studio 2054, and won for best set decoration.  We had a rope, bouncers, loud music, a go-go dancer, DJ, VIP rooms, oxygen bar and a bubble machine.  Everyone was dressed Hunger Games style, or post-apocalyptic.  Freaking hilarious!

Literally a tweet today.  Beautiful afternoon in Birds Hill Park, north of Winnipeg. I made a new friend, too, although I suspect he was hoping I had food for him. This is a Black-capped Chickadee.

6:15 and we've had 16 kids already.  It's not even dark!!  I can understand the little kids, say 6 and under, but man, if you're 10, you should at least wait for dark.  I expect they're just trying to cover as much ground as possible.
