well, the A/C stopped working properly today...not a good time, since we're just starting the sweltering heat season...have an appointment next Friday to bring it in and have it checked out...it was hissing loudly yesterday and this morning when it started up, quieting down a bit while it's on, but not putting out much cool air at all...if i had to guess, i'd say it's running about 5% cooling performance.

my too...if something failed, it should be covered as my coverage is pretty much everything...however, a coworker recently had the same thing happen to her leased vehicle...a rock (or something similar) must have come up and damaged the condenser(?), so it wasn't covered under warranty (understandable)...she ended up taking it to an indie for repair ($1000 cash)...i'm hoping that isn't what has happened to mine.

Might be electrical. I know on my TSX if the radiator fans are not plugged in the AC will not go.

yea, i still have almost 3 more years of warranty...i purchased the 10 years/200,000 kms bumper to bumper warranty when i bought it because i had no experience with Kia products and i've found stuff starts to go on cars after about 7 years.

thanks...it's next friday i take it in...i'm assuming it won't get fixed that day though as i would imagine they'll have to order parts.

yea, we take good care of our stuff...it's why i plan on keeping it for a few more years (to get my money's worth out of it).

Agree with SirO. Hard to believe it is 7. Very clean.

Let us know how the A/C story unfolds. Hopefully, no biggie and will be covered under warranty.
