Thought this was a new post (opened page 1), wondered when the hell did Chevy start making their trucks look nice! Musta missed something. Oh...2011...that explains it.  :P :shuffle:

One year later and only about 8,000 km more on the truck
And it paid off now
Still only oil changes and pads on the rear brakes done

Gave the truck a little TLC today, wash and wax at 135,000 km, had the front pads and rotors change this week

Yes, glad to hear about the trouble free experience. I feel if it had a turbo, before 135k something would definitely crap out. Is it a 5.3L or bigger?

The 5.3 is an excellent mill.  One of the better 8's sold in trucks of any brand.

That's a good way to do it. My father in law has a  pulley system  with ropes to remove his in the garage.

That would be cool to have but I never take the cap off once it is on

It is 7 years old now
143,000 km , brakes have been replaced once, tires  replaced 19,000 km ago, besides oil changes and air filter , nothing has been done

It's nice when a truck works exactly as intended, and is completely trouble free.

it is a Chev, no surprise.

Not the fanciest, but they just work. AB's case is just another story of "it just keeps trucking, and has for nearly a decade"
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

It is a LTZ  model,
I wish I would have got a crew cab instead of a extended cab
