Sadly, still as ugly as ever. Hurts the eyes like a poke with a sharp stick.

I disagree, I think the Soul is one of the coolest looking vehicles out there. Still draws my eye everytime I see one, and everytime, I think "that's a great looking car!". Not a big fan of the light green color, though.

You gotta remember - he's programmed to hate anything Asian, and especially anything Korean.  I think the Soul looks pretty good.

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Of course. But taste is subjective, so it's possible he just hates the looks of the Soul, nothing wrong with that. I'm not the biggest GM lover around (to say the least), but I can still appreciate the much-despised Pontiac Aztec. I generally like anything that's different, like the Juke more recently, and the Soul previously. If it's different, I usually like it.

Those are some fantastic mid-cycle enhancements. If they added more arm padding or soft touch surfaces inside it'd be an even more intriguing option.

Hope to see the equivalent of the Eco Package Idle Stop and Go system on more vehicles soon.

They missed the chance to add a turn light repeater on the rearview mirrors. I really liked this refresh anyway.

Pretty sure it's already got side blinkers... you wanted blinkers on the mirrors in addition? That's a lot of blinking lights when you turn!!  ;)

Looking at the high res. photos looks like they added mirror blinkers, but the current model doesn't have side blinkers.

I thought this might be a bit more easier to read and compare at a glance and also to print off at least till Kia Canada posts it on their site.

test drove a 2012 Soul 2u
« Reply #38 on: October 15, 2011, 04:36:54 pm »
while my Rondo was in for service, test drove a new black 2u with the Nu 2.0L engine.  In the brief test drive I found out that the rpm's at various speeds are the same as my 2.4L Rondo:  80 kmph - 1800; 90 - 2000; 100 - 2200; 110 - 2400.  It was hard to tell the power difference between the two, but then I guess it should as now they have about the same horsepower (newer Rondo's are higher).  The electric steering felt a bit strange, very light at low speeds, but sure like the improvements on the interior as compared to the 2011 model.  Would have preferred to try a 4u but my dealer didn't have any stock at present.
Here's a few photos of the model I test drove:
