Just came back (sigh) from a week at the Banff Springs on tuesday...Never get tired of this beautiful spot, we have seen it in all seasons and they all have something special - but the mountains look even better still in winter..you be the judge;

Nice. Stayed at the Springs last month (Groupon special) and was amazed at the improvements since I had last stayed there when it was still a CPR property. The Springs can stand with any mountain resort in the world, many Calgarians overlook this gem on their doorstep.

BEAUTIFUL pictures!!!! I lived in Lake Louise many years ago as a ski instructor and I really miss it there. The scenery is stunning, all 12 months of the year!

Almost; the wife represents a crown corp at housing conferences, this one was the Canadian Home builders Association, who always pick beautiful spots for their conferences. Next year is at the Fairmont Mont Tremblant. Every4 yrs is at Banff, sometimes Lake Louise, last year was Chateau Frontenac in Quebec city.

Yeah, love that D90!
Most shots were taken with my 18-105mm and close-ups with my 55-300mm and a friend's borrowed 150-500mm. The close-up of the deer was with the 150-500mm while standing in the salt water pool!

Next trip, St-John's NL (never been) and then in the fall- Barcelona, Versailles, a couple of towns in Normandie and Paris.

Winterlight and Sulfur Mountain are my favourite shots, Las.

Nice! But they'd look sooo much better done with a Canon.
