Well these seem like justified and reasonable choices, unlike some COTYs I've seen lately. I would only question their choice on the family hauler and especially the pickup.

Ya...doesn't Hyundai or Toyota make a pick-up?

So how did a 2011 Elantra do well in the surveys when it just came out?  Must be based on the previous version...which is odd given I thought this car was a total re-do...and thus an unknown commodity in the reliability department.

I purchased a 2009 Hyundai Elantra brand new. Since then the car has had nothing but problems (starting three days after purchse). Of course my "amazing" Hyundai warrenty covers none of this. Upon independent mechanic review I have found the dealership lied about what repair was needed! When I contacted Hyundai Corp they sent me an insulting stock letter, the jist: "So sad, to bad!" I've put over $3000 into my brand new car since 2009. I'm not sure how or why consumer reports believes in this sub-standard  "product"? Buyer beware here: Hyundai/Kia sounds like a good deal but like most things that sound to good to be true Hyundai is as well!

From my experience I'd never purchase from Hyundai again and I'll be making sure none of my friends and family make the same mistake as me.

Wow...this is in three separate threads.

Yes...we must call for photos as evidence, otherwise, this can't be true!

I would pick Ridgeline except Honda hasn't put in a telescoping steering wheel.

I'm counting six now, lets see if he can reach 10!  :rofl2:

My guess would have been Ford for the pickup.

•Family Sedan: Nissan Altima

•Small SUV: Toyota RAV4

•Green Car: Toyota Prius

•Family SUV: Kia Sorento

Nothing all too earth shattering here. They may be getting ahead of themselves with the Elantra. They're predicting that it will be as reliable as the previous model. I guess they haven't learned from the Camry debacle of a few years ago.

IMO it needs to be a true pickup to win the category. Anything with a HEMI V8 would be my personal choice here based on my test drives ;)
Sienna has terrible white textured plastic all around. You need to drive in surgical gloves to keep it clean. It is also fairly noisy inside.

Value is a worth of something compared to its price.
It is funny though when these are compared to some Hyundai and it wins  :rofl2:
Just wait for that Genesis get a 5.0 and be crowned a vehicle of the century  :P
