Pretty much a deal breaker in my daily driver. I use mine pretty as much as I can, fully open in the city or open/vented (depending on my speed) on the highway.

Isn't the sunroof in the GTI on the noisy side, a lot of wind turbulance comes in.

Driving the Mustang with the glass roof was a great experience.  I'd really like to get a panoramic, or glass roof as they call them.

A 911 Targa is a cool one too...but rare in the used market.

I have a sunroof on both the Saab and the Infiniti. In winter when the sun is shining I have the sun shade open. It warms the interior nicely. In the summer, I use the vent feature a lot, especially one hot summer days. I notice it helps the AC out by cooling the interior faster, since hot air rises. I thought about buying the MB with panoramic roof, however after looking at the mechanism, I decided the expense to fix it out of warranty-should anything go wrong, would be too much.

Meh. the G8 sunroof is noisy even closed. Never use it as the sun burns my balding head.  The Rovers sunroof(s) are good as it has sun shades on all three of them. The glass panel roof  really gives it a nice open feeling.

I find it depends more on the wind direction and speed. I've had days where I can leave it open while doing 149.9kph and other days where 80kph is very annoying.

I also don't find the GTi any different than my previous two cars (Protege5 and Mazda6-Wagon) for noise/turbulence.

I find myself playing with the knob fairly often. Quite annoying I must say.

Lots of older ones on the market.  They go for cheaper than coupes, more flexible too.

I had a sunroof on my Civic SI.  During the spring/summer/autumn monthes, it was wide open all the time (rainy days notwithstanding, of course).  The only time I closed the sunshade was when I drove to Louisiana in June/July.  It was just so hot that I couldn't bear having the sunshade open, even with the AC going full blast.  So, needless to say, I loved my sunroof.

That being said, my current vehicle - a Ford Ranger - does not have a sunroof.  And I really haven't missed it all that much in the last two years.

My vehicles don't have one, but I would really like one in my next car.
Drove with a friend to Banff last weekend, we used the sunroof to check if the skis are still on the rack

4 of our last 5 vehicles have been equipped with sunroof/moonroof.  I use the vent feature in the spring fall, and the full open feature in the summer, or when downtown.   Even when not open or vented, opening or closing the sunshade can give the interior a whole different feeling.

I'm glad the new Odyssey has them, as come replacement time our Odyssey may very well be replaced with another.

Really?  When did the sliding glass targas start?  I'm not a big fan of the '80's vintage targas as I did think they spoiled the roofline.

There was a 2010 911 Targa at Pfaff moons ago that looked fantastic.  Not a very exciting grey on the outside...but a wicked Terracotta interior...all yours for $140,000.

I believe there was a sliding glass 993 by 1996, then it disappeared for a few  years with the 996 and came out again  in 2002.  Those might still be a bit pricey, I was referring to the earlier '70s and '80s Targa cars, there always seems to be some for sale.  I also don't really like that roofline from the outside, plus the coupes are more solid, although just about every coupe that came to NA has a sunroof.

Of the cars I've had that came with a sunroof I really didn't use it that much and didn't miss a sunroof at all with the cars that didn't come with one. Besides, no sunroof and a manual transmission is about $2,000 savings on, say, a Mazda3 Sport GS and that ain't exactly chump change.
