Real men drive 1200 miles in 24 22.25 hrs without cruise control....and suffer hip pain for a few years after.

Edit note - Was reminded that the trip actually was less than 24 hrs - Toronto to Daytona Beach. I remember not being in a very good mood afterwards. Possibly too much McDonalds coffee in a 24 hr period. :P

Great find TopGun!   The forward looking video would have been better without the obstruction of the rear view mirror...especially considering that it's basically useless in this car  ;)

Well he didn't really do 1200 miles on the trip home.  It was 960 miles in ? hours.  Still pretty darn good.  And a nice sounding engine.  I could listen to it for 24 hours.

But hell, I did 1720 km in 19 hours a couple of years ago, on my Gold Wing.  It's not called an Iron Butt ride for nothing.

Pales in comparison...however, the family did 1,400 km to Myrtle Beach in the RX-8.  That was memorable as it didn't skip a beat!

It didn't skip many gas stations either come to think of it.   ;D

A Countach can go 1200 miles without a breakdown?  :)

Did a 1500Km round trip in 18 hours this summer, no cruise. Had to put in a 1/4 tank of regular gas in a gas station the Rockies (no premium, what gives?) Oil consumption minimal in the RX-8.

The speedo did break on that Countach. 

I did 1400 miles in 30 hours to Daytona Beach in a Chevy Corisca with some friends.  It was fun times without parental supervision.  :)
