Try resetting and reinstalling Internet Explorer. What version do you have?

Did that yesterday. Downloaded the newest version of 8 with updates. So far so good today. Using Firefox as a browser too.


I still got redirected on a google search link.

Try running MS Essentials in safe mode. You may have to unplug your ethernet cable while doing it.
