Audi R8 V10 vs. Nissan GT-R

I love both of these cars.  The R8 is sheer sexiness, while the GT-R is a performance masterpiece for the price.  I'd happily take either.   :)

The GT-R doesn't do it for a lot of people.  It doesn't have the super car looks whatsoever.  Having said that, it's an extremely impressive car and a technological masterpiece....IMHO of course.  The 11 GT-R has posted a 0-60 time of 2.9.  Not that 0-60 times are everything, but it's certainly impressive nonetheless.

The GT-R appeals to my brain.  It's engineering masturbation in the best sense of the word.  The R8 appeals to my loins.  The sound, the evil look, the gorgeous interior.

I'm a sucker for a V10 wail.  R8 and LF-A are the best sounding cars IMO.  I could listen to a sountrack of either revving up and down for hours...

Shame this V10 didn't make it to production.  The sound is loverly.

The Veyron is like the GT-R in the sense that it's looks are not for everyone, but it's a technological masterpiece.  While I'd take an R8 over the GT-R if money was no issue, it's also twice the price.  The GT-R is at least a somewhat affordable supercar.

Yea..it is THE best sounding car IMO.  Sounds closest to F1 hardware.  And in testing the LF-A has bested both the GT-R and the R8...so I know which one I would take!!  LF-A for the summer....and GT-R or R8 for the winter?

Agree.  Between the 3 cars, I wouldn't have to think a single millisecond before choosing the LF-A!   ;D

FWIW, EVO Magazine picked the LF-A engine as "Engine of the Year".

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Same here except the GTR I can put Kate in the back seat and a load to 2x4's in trunk. And that folks is enough to tip the scales way in favour of  the GTR.

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

I'd go with the R8 V10, but I'm a row-your-own-gears purist and the R8 is the only one of the three that is available with three pedals.

Not too shabby for $90usd.

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/02/2012-nissan-gt-r-officially-goes-0-60-in-2-9-seconds/

It's sick, eh?  The "old" version was only 7 tenths of a second slower around the 'Ring than a ZR-1...wonder if they will re-run this version??

No problem with that.  But I don't mind the paddle shifters in the LF-A since it completes the F1 experience with that glorious soundtrack....

I can totally get why others would go for paddle shifters.  F1 experience, better objective performance, etc.  As always, my post is meant as what I'd prefer, not what everyone else should prefer (not that you need the clarification, but you never know when someone else might ;)).
