Considering where Chrysler is sitting in reliabilty, and where they have sat for many years now, I only wish the Canadian and US governments had not bailed them out. Just let them die, a natural and capitalistic death.
...have at least average reliability....

The average reliability is based on the number of problems reported by a survey of 1.3 million CR subscribers over the last 10 years.

Not bad in 196,000 kms.

Not bad in 196,000 kms."Average" is a running 10 year average and is considerably higher than in the past. An average car these days is pretty reliable. My 1992 Escort GT was 11 years old and had 250k on it when I sold it. Other than regular maintenance, I had to replace the flex pipe in the exhaust. That was it.
That's a good point that many people lose sight of when comparing these rankings. A mediocre car today is probably better than the best ranked car from 20-30 years ago.
Absolutely. A "much better than average" car from 1990 would be "much worse than average" today. CR actually stated that in one of their year end reports, though I forget which one.
that more then I have done to truck at 7 years 202,000km
