Impressive.  An average of nearly 61 MPG (3.85L/100km) for a car that size.

I hope it comes in a wagon ( please square of the back) and if I could avg 6 l/km in a large car then a Prius and fit 6 ft ladders in the would be great

Very impressive indeed.

Has anyone noticed how these manufacturers that have hybrids always do their press test drives in a warm climate?

Give me a hybrid to test for a week in January.  In Winnipeg.  I could supply Canadian Driver with an article.

That would be a waste, you only drive 1,000 km a year  ;D
I am over 35,000 year that would a better waste of their money and then I can also compare to a prius

I started a new job in October that has me commuting again.  So, now I'm up to 2,000 km a year.   ;D

Incredibly impressive. If I ever get tired of putting gas in the 300C, this would make for a damn cheap way to run up all those highway miles that I do. No where near as much fun, but slogs on the 401 at 120KM/H are not much fun anyway.

If you dig a stick, a chipped Jetta TDI would be fairly amusing.  We *MIGHT* be pulling the trigger on a 2011 Jetta TDI for IQs new work car.  While her 2002 Accord Coupe has been perfect, we want better MPG..and she MUST have a stick.  So our options are limited...

Just a matter of getting over the diesel thing for me. Then again, I've gotten over my early Hyundai experiences too, so anything is possible. :)

Nice thing about the TDI would be the torque. And I am a torque loving kind of guy.

let's not forget the same team got similar mileage from the NA Sonata as well, which is several thousand dollars less expensive to buy.
