Mazda2, Juke, Sonata, Regal, Equus, R8, Mustang, Sienna, Sportage, Sorento, R350 BlueTec are my picks.
.....

You missed picking the Forte over the Juke Shnak.  And how long did it take you to pick the Sportage over the Tucson...and the Sorento over the Santa Fe?  ;D

I've always found this award to be a dog's breakfast given the complexity.  I can't recall if they changed the scoring after the R8 won in 2008.  And now the R8 is back due to the soft top...and the CTS Coupe is in two categories from the varying engine options?

I don't think anything changed when the R8 won.  The R8 was in it last year as well when they introduced the V10 but it didn't come anywhere near winning.

There there be nice... I usually like to pick new cars in these things. I've said many times before that I really like the Juke so I picked it. I probably would've put the CR-Z 2nd in that bracket.  Sportage over Tucson was easy... really like the styling of the former and latter gives me a big 'meh'. Equus is an incredible vehicle for the money, much better value proposition than anything else in its category. Sorento is new while the Santa Fe is old, easy choice.

Funny how you didn't complain that I picked the Regal... we're being selective in our criticisms, are we?  ;)

Yeah... What's up with that? I thought you dislike the car as being slow and overpriced.  :)

Yeah... but it's a fast running shoe... 6.8sec to 60mph (source: MT) isn't bad plus killer fuel economy.

I'm assuming it was the Regal Turbo, and even if it wasn't, it's still better than the Avalon. At least the Regal apparently handles very well. And I might've picked the E-Class, but for whatever reason, the M-B sedans don't do much for me. So in other words, I pretty much picked the Regal by process of elimination...  ;)

You should know this by now; anything over 6.0s is horrible. Get it in your head, damnit!!!

The Avalon is fantastic value for money, I loved it -- would buy one too if I needed another car.

Sure, but why is still even in the contest? Is there anything significantly new about it?

No selectivity about it, I didn't "complain" about the Regal 'cause I'd pick that one too!  Having driven none of these cars, I'm equally ignorant.

I'd pick the Sonata and likely even the Equus in their categories as well.  The Equus' competitors don't excite me much.

PS. BTW, I drove past a new Jag yesterday on the 401 and it was beautiful. If it's not on the list it should be.
Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Booo, Mazda 2 lost  ;D   Some interesting winners there for sure.  Did not expect either the Cruze nor the CTS-V to win.  Gm with three wins....good for them!
