Porsche Panamera Sighting
« on: October 06, 2010, 07:19:47 pm »
Saw this Panamera the other day while working in Toronto and going back to my hotel.  It was on Queen Street but I can't remember the cross street.  I'm sure a Torontonian will recognize it though.

I hope the bottom falls out of these price-wise. I want one.

I saw one too today on Robson St. in Vancouver. It's a big car for sure.

I saw one yesterday on Hunt Club in Ottawa.  They have sold a lot of them, the V6 version will be a great bargain in a few years!

Yeah, sales far exceeded Porsche's expectations I heard.
Jim Belushi's character on "Defenders" drives one.  Looks so right on the Vegas strip.  Love that car.
I agree with Railton... a heavily depreciated one in a few years would be awesome.  Cayennes have dropped... why not these too?

It *is* a nice looking car, isn't it?  I was prepared to hate it when they announced that Porsche was coming out with a sedan, but its looks have grown on me.

I still think it's a little odd looking from the rear (to be polite about it), but when Wing took me for a rip in a Panamera Turbo last year (even in a perfect blue-over-cream colour combo), I was absolutely hooked.  That thing is a mind-blowing beast.  And the interior is superb.

These things are everywhere in Toronto, I'm sure the porsche salespeople are very happy with porsche's decision to sell this.

I saw a ton of these when I was in Europe for a month earlier this year.  They are much better better looking in person than in pictures, and personally I just love them.  I'd rock one any day of the week.  :)

I like the lack of chrome trim around the windows of the V6 model - it seems to help the design flow better.

I think I've seen 3 now.  The size always amazes me everytime I see it.  I was with my gf one time and she said 'what the hell is that thing?'

I think picking a V8 up cheap in a few years would be a sweet deal if the bottom does drop.  And I get to keep a hatchback body!

I've seen a few in Ottawa too.

I love the car but find the proportions a little odd..  It's probably the only car in that category I'd buy where I wasn't totally sold on the looks.
