Marko - "What's wrong with prepaying? Isn't it much more convenient to pay with a credit card right at the pump than to have to go in there and wait in line? Especially if you end up in line behind some old fart who takes forever to buy a bunch of lottery tickets, which seems to happen to me almost every time I go in to pay"
Say you pump only $20 in gas, the gas station automatically "holds" (deducts) $100 from your available credit on the credit card until they submit they're receipt (check your online banking). I will pay for EXACTLY what I pumped, not having them assume I may have bought $100 worth "just in case". Also, pumps are notorious for stealing your credit card info, it's happened to me twice, I only use cash at a gas station. When I pump, I never wait, I'm doing this very late at night like 11pm, so nobody is really there anyway.
Leviathan - "Prepay (inside or at the pump) is the only way you're getting gas in BC" - It's ok, never have and won't be going to BC. Ontario is all good.
