nobody said it was ugly. ---because they were just being polite

if there wasn't any :censor: disturbers in the world we would all be too complacent .
if honda had some ,they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now , they have rested on their laurels
just read now their civic hybrid and insight have been cancelled do to poor sales

But all hybrid sales in Canada are slow...even the Prius.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

i have been waiting for this thing to come out, and it is much lower priced than i thought it would...not a big fan of CVT's, but Nissan seems to make the best one of them all, so i suppose that isn't too bad...the styling is a bit out there, but not TOO far out there...i am surprised that no one else has mentioned it, but from the side, it looks like a revised (sleeker) Kia Soul and from the rear it reminds me of the Volvo C30...not that any of those are bad things, it's just something i thought of when i saw the pics of it...anyone know if you can use regular pump gas in this thing, or just premium?

i might consider something like this, but it is going to be tough to topple the Sonata on my "next car" list...to be fair, the Juke isn't really the same type of vehicle though, so if it doesn't bump the Sonata, i won't fault it for failing to do so...i do admit though, i am interested in checking one out in more detail.

yes rrockjet sales are slow for hybrids , but the prius has always been the sales leader because it offers a superior hybrid powertrain system , getting better mpg
honda went with a cheaper system , not as good , hoping the cheap price would draw sales , but it didn't thats why they failed
if they put their money into something that could take the prius head on , and beat it in price they would be fine -- personnally ,i would have got my ship in order first and beat hyundai to mass produced entry level direct injection cars , then concentrated on doing prius one better

just checked the sales figures , you were spot on for poor sales ,even for the prius

Sure, the Juke’s puffy face has drawn its share of ridicule from internet wits, but the real, live people we encountered during our drive thought the Juke was interesting, amusing, and frog-like—nobody said it was ugly.

Stop trying to cause trouble.

Did you have any contribution to make related to the car, or are you simply obsessing about my posts?

Styling here is clearly a gamble, but I have a suspicion that it will pan out well for Nissan.  Obviously, time will tell.  That said, I would love to see this powertrain / chassis cloaked in an attractive compact 4door sedan body.

I initially laughed this vehicle off as another strange small box vehicle like the xB, cube and the soul.  However, the more I read about it, its engine, its all wheel drive, its trransmission, its price, I am quite impressed.

Yep - every review I have come across seems to range between positive and positively glowing.  I also like the fact that you can get the stick with the higher trim level.

That's exactly what I was thinking.  The running gear seems to be an unquestionable hit.  Nissan should milk that for all it's worth.

A dodgy vehicle?

Looks like a formula for success with a variety of ways to get the power down to the ground.

I'll stick to my similar engine sized RV which is even quicker and more rewarding to drive and has no turbo wine and better economy.

::) enough with the Miata already

The Juke and the NA both have 1600 cc DOHC engines, both are from Japan and both are are very practical for their intended uses.

"the Juke (apparently a Japanese term for dodging obstacles)"

should do very well, having owned a Renault 16 back in the day when it was the Car of the Year  I am impressed with its heritage, also a 1600 cc engine which was also used by Colin Chapman in the Lotus Europa

As awful as I thought the styling was at first, I'm coming around to it as very distinctive. It offers quite a lot in the looks, handling, unique power/economy/drivetrain, features, and price department.

Think they may be onto something here, although I'd prefer something with a slightly modified front and rear.

What an interesting little vehicle. The styling is very odd - but in an endearing sort of what like a Citroen 2CV. The power train sounds fantastic. I'd love this in 6spd manual, fwd (awd seems silly in a vehicle so small) and quite a few inches of height taken out of it.
