"No Aztek comments yet? I'm impressed."

First thing I thought of actually, this thing is quirky/homely, depending on your point of view, but it is still not as bad as the Aztek

RIBBIT!

Agree, I don't get the looks either, but then again, this is an entry level car that my teenager sons may like and would buy.  Understand teenagers? What was I thinking.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Car and Driver liked it a whole bunch:

Great write-up from C&D.  I especially liked this quote.  ;D

That’s just one of many little touches that make the Juke about ten times more fascinating than, oh, say, any Toyota product we can think of.

The styling is boldly creative in a way that Subaru would be wise to emulate. Boring it is not, and it's certainly no Japaneses Aztek. Methinks beautiful. Wishing Nissan all success with the Juke in North America.

I will be test driving it, if I like it then probably will buy it. As for looks, well the Echo was one of the ugliest car on the road fall 99 when it came out and I bought one.

Which just goes to show, there's no accounting for taste.  ;)

Toyota sold tons of them and still do, now the Yaris is bit better looking.

Emphasis on "bit". It's still pretty bad.

You have to give Nissan credit for being gutsy.

Or crazy. Or something. Looks like the car Baby Godzilla would drive.  :o

The Juke is definitely not Aztek ugly, it's Mazda 3 and BMW x6 ugly, as in once you get used to it, it's not really that ugly anymore, unlike the Aztek which will historically be the ugly car that no one's gotten used to. The Juke looks good in person, it's urban, it's got swag, but time will tell how this will sell. The Cube which was expected to be a hit in Canada has so far been a miss...

Mmm 6 speed manual with a turbocharged 1.6 engine drool.

I can see this being big in Japan, it totally looks like a japanese domestic market product. That is not an insult, just an observation. They have different tastes, that can be very quirky compared to what we are used to in NA. Even the name sounds like a bad translation. It's just the caricature grille that I can't get over, the rest of the shape is pretty nice. The front looks animated, and I expect it to talk to me.

Sure, the Juke’s puffy face has drawn its share of ridicule from internet wits (and half-wits), but the real, live people we encountered during our drive thought the Juke was interesting, amusing, and frog-like—nobody said it was ugly.

Strange device
A froggy automobile
Very Conflicted

I've got the same beef as I usually do: CVT, no manual with AWD version. At the very least it stands out in a sea of bland design, and I can appreciate that.

nobody said it was ugly. ---because they were just being polite

if there wasn't any :censor: disturbers in the world we would all be too complacent .
if honda had some ,they wouldn't be in the mess they are in now , they have rested on their laurels
just read now their civic hybrid and insight have been cancelled do to poor sales
