Like mentioned by the editor and Julie, rear visibility is horrendous in this vehicle. I haven't driven the new CR-Z but I a guessing it is about the same. Not that great from a safety perspective!! Like Mozeby, I would take the MDX over this any day of the week........and I am not particularly fond of the MDX either. As a current Honda owner, I love Honda/Acura interiors and their driving dynamics........too bad that can't make a decent looking vehicle anymore.

It would be similar to my Insight...and I never had an issue....
The roofline on your Insight isn't anywhere near the slope the ZDX and CR-Z has though. Actually, it's not even close. Anyways, my point is that rear visibility on these vehicles is extremely poor, and hence unsafe with the average driver behind the wheel.

Anyways, you honestly think the rear visibility in the CR-Z is much different than the ZDX? With the wide C pillars and extreme sloping roof line, I seriously have my doubts. I am guessing an average driver (one that doesn't use their side mirrors) will have a very hard time with these vehicles........and hence a safety concern IMO.
It doesn't matter how is works, If I can't stand the sight of it, it won't be in my driveway. Too many compromises. If I need a utility vehicle, I will drive one, if I want a sports sedan, I will drive one.

Make no mistake, the ZDX and Crosstour are just that, wagons.

Make no mistake, the ZDX and Crosstour are just that, wagons. This isn't a wagon - if you're going to compare it, at least compare it to the right thing, aka Cadillac SRX. The CTS wagon is 500lbs lighter, at least 15-20% more efficient, faster, nimbler, and actually has more cargo room with seats folded. And you don't know why people see the ZDX as a rolling oxymoron? It's a handbag car.
I just don't understand why Honda is willing to spend all that money in designing cars like the ZDX and Crosstour which will likely only sell in small numbers, but won't develop or spend the money to build something like a small wagon like the Mazda 5 or upcoming Chevy Orlando, which is where more people are looking and starting to buy. Even a Civic wagon would be a much better car, cheaper to design and develop since it would basically be the same as the sedan.
