My daily driver 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 4.7 V-8 has 260,000 kms..18.5 average mpg.Original motor/trans,nothing major went wrong with it,nothing minor either,no water pumps no fuel pump ect...never broke down at all....This new Jeep looks great ! A Hemi would be my bet as they are bulletproof reliable in trucks and cars..I also have a 06 Charger SXT 3.5 V-6 with 126,000 k,again nothing went wrong with it...Also own a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport ,obviously nothing went wrong, its new! My 2003 Dodge Ram had 170,000 k and nothing but tires, oil changes and gas ! I know people/family members with lower mileage/newer Honda/Acura's and head gasket, waterpump, timingbelt problems,Toyota well they have the most issues, steering engine sludge ect..I dont know where these people with Chrysler problems are coming from,I guess they bought them used.
I think Chrysler gets a bad name by uneducated people..Chrysler is Canada's second best selling brand..Also,In the 80's to 00's Chrysler used some 4 cyl and 6 cyl engines from Mitshubishi and those were garbage, and gave the minivans a bad name when powered by the Mitshubishi 3.0.Funny how people love the BMW Mini and it uses a 4cyl Chrysler Neon engine block !!
