Mercedes-Benz CLS

Just when I decided to stop playing 6/49, the MB came up with this beauty. After the BMW 5 Touring, Accord Touring and the new Accura wagon, this is definetely an improvement on luxury hatchback/wagon design. Way to go MB!

Well it's me then, I'm fond of this kind of smooth lines, that's probably why I found pasat CC sexy and elegant as well..

BTW - excuse my ignorance, but how did you insert the image into your post? I couldn't do it.

Assuming the production version will be faithful to this (and it looks production-ready), it looks pretty good to me, particularly against what will be its main competition in North America:

Is that the new CLS or just Merc's answer to the abysmal 5 Series GT?

I rather like it - yes I do. Strong sweeping lines and to my eyes much nicer than the BMW abruptness at the arse end. Now add a CDI and we have a winner. :drive:

I guess the DB guys spent too much time in the Chrysler design archives. At least I know where they are getting their styling inspiration from now:
