The real wood is optional IIRC.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Chryslers website said the wood was real on the picture I showed.

I believe you. Just pointing out the possibility that not all T&Cs have wood.

This Reviewer's Day 3 Review is a JOKE.  Very little useful information.  Almost no info at all on the vehicle. Maybe day 4 he will fill the gaps and do a good job.

A to B in comfort (B twice actually). With your stuff yet but don't treat it like a sports car. Sounds like a van to me...what more do you want.

How does it drive when you've got 4-5 passengers with some cargo? How about pulling when it pulls something? How comfortable is it for longer drives, especially those much-acclaimed stow-n-go seats that look about 1" thick? A bit more info about why the navigation system sucks could have been helpful. Those are all bits of information that would interest me greatly if I was in the market for a minivan.

Can you provide a link to the Chrysler web site that says it is real wood. I could not find anything on chrysler.ca and on chrysler.com it only said it had wood "accents". Hardly real wood.
Enjoying the Alberta advantage

Real wood accents and Satin Silver trim give the Town & Country a sleek, modern feel. Chrysler Town & Country Limited in Medium Pebble Beige / Cream.

The question that hasn't been answered is:

How easy does kid puke scrub out of the cloth seats? How about staining after the family pet gets "loose" after eating all the kids gummy bears on the family road trip? Do cheerios plug the seatbelt recepticles? These are the real questions that should be addressed. Driving characteristics? Who cares, this is a van, it schleps stuff around. FWIW it probably handles somewhere between a barge and a yacht.

For as much flack as these things get, they are purpose-built, which earns it more respect in my books than cross-activity vehicles that have no idea what they are for other than making their developers lots and lots of money. It's a big box, so it can carry more stuff. It has flexible cargo, so it can carry even more stuff. It has a torque-heavy, reasonably efficient motor, so it doesn't guzzle gas. It is cheap to own and maintain, making it a wise decision for long-term ownership. Overall there are a lot of things that stack up in its corner, but for me, those start to deteriorate with the idea of the Town & Country versus the Caravan. This makes perfect sense for $25K, but for $40? That's a tough pill to swallow, given the somewhat gruff nature of the underpinnings.

Agree with you on all points, especially on the $25k vs $40k point.

Thanks for the link. That link is to the US site. The review is of a Canadian spec van. Go to the review on this site. Click on photos. Click on the pic of the center stack. Look at the "wood" panel that goes around the ignition cyl.  That is some pretty compound angles for wood. Never mind how thick the wood would have to be to make that.

Thanks!
Just what I was going to post.

Even wood on the dash is paper thin, glued to a plastic backing.

I can't believe there's this many people who care about the wood on the dash of a minivan.  What's next, let's focus on the radio knobs.
