^^You forgot SMART.    ;)

*consults Wikipedia* That's because Smart never sold the diesels in the States, only in Canada.  You learn something new every day.

They just got the smart last year when it went to gas.  That's the reason we have a gas now because of the USA import.... ugh

the new model caught camoflauge-free in the US

http://www.thecarblogger.net/2010/10/spied-2012-hyundai-accent-us-spec.html

Now that is a baby Sonata :)
Looks more Sonata like than the Elantra which is interesting.

From that picture it appears to be working pretty well for it despite the smaller size.

The company also announced that the North American version of the redesigned Accent will make its debut at the Big Apple next April.

It actually reminds me more of the Tucson.

Hyundai is making some seriously nice-looking cars these days. If the Accent is half as good as it looks it'll be a segment-buster. Color me impressed.

Me too.  Both Accent and Elantra are bringing some real style to their respective segments.

I'm hoping that Hyundai finally brings back a 5-door Accent. Everybody else is offering a 5-door sub-compact, it's time Hyundai rejoins the party.

Hyundai's campaign of torture against sheetmetal continues, it seems.

1.6L DI engine sounds great. Now if Hyundai could've found a way to squeez at least a 5AT to go with it, just to push the bar even higher ... On the other hand, the 4AT is appropriate for the class and I understand their decision from the business perspective.
It will certainly be another good vehicle from Hyundai.

there will be a 5-door Accent hatchback

http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/10/hyundai-accent-to-kick-fiestas-butt-says-us-ceo-john-krafcik/

It'll need some big boots to kick the Fiesta's butt, but I look forward to seeing it try.  That is a good looking hatch for sure.
