Yeah I did read about that upcoming V6 version. On paper at least, 300hp in a 4000lb. sedan doesn't seem all that impressive - at least not for a Porsche.

One must drive this Porsche to understand, all sensibility is removed once behind the wheel.

The new V6 version may be interesting I wonder how much it will come in at!

:iagree:  It's supposed to drive very well, and it looks much better in the flesh than it does in pictures.  Still not my cup of tea but I can see why some would buy it.

People don't buy a Cayenne for the driving experience, they buy it for the badge.  And to be honest who cares, it may dilute the brand ethos a little but if it pays the bills so that they can still produce cars like the 911 GT3 RS then the more the merrier.

Saw one on the 407 yesterday and stopped beside it at an exit.   IMHO not an attractive car in the flesh however well it drives. The rear especially. I guess that if you have to get 4 seats and a trunk big enough for golf bags to sell it in NA...

I'd rather have a restored 928 personally.

Parked beside one at Timmies last night (!) and I don't like it any better in the tin.  Better looking than the Cayenne, true, but the proportions are just off somehow.  The entire rear section is awkward.

The proposed new 928 is much better looking, but of course, has only two doors.
