« on: January 13, 2010, 09:28:39 pm »

The Ford Taurus SHO is no performance bargain, but for about $50,000 to start, this car comes with a lot of everything, including 365 horsepower from Ford's twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 engine.

« Reply #1 on: January 13, 2010, 09:35:39 pm »
Numerous couldn't survive familiar with the definition of payday loan, however those who are, know that it is a friend in need of assistance. Indeed, it is a bank mortgage personal financial loan product which will help one to overcome all of your unexpected urgent situation financial needs before your own genuine pay day occurs. This particular mortgage can guide you to clear a few of your own little financial requirements which appear in the center of the actual calendar thirty day period. This loan means that you're not still quit higher as well as dried up if you should fund your or even summer time task or perhaps the partner's abrupt interest in extra cash.
However just what exactly actually is a quick payday loan? Nicely, an online payday loan is really a little loan that is disbursed from the banking institutions as well as the financial institutions for a short period of energy i.e. until your next p payday.
Immediate payday loans no fax required is a bank mortgage personal financial loan product that's given without the mortgage loans or perhaps sec and you're simply to pay your money back upabout our next pay day. This bank mortgage personal financial loan product means that you'll be able to acquire the loan inside 1 or 2 the actual the job. You are able to acquire the borrowed funds from bare lowest or perhaps virtually not any paper work.
Indeed, contrary to the overall opinion or convention that a mortgage needs to go through exacting analysis of loan application, you will get usage of payday loans without the hassles. This mortgage calls for you to definitely just submit the job and you would certainly get the needed amount of cash on a single d day. There are many economic companies that provide their on the internet support for that disbursement of the financial lending options and you only have to log on to their site for the submission of the program. Below, you are required to fill the web form and also within Twenty four hours of the distribution, choosing having the asked for funds. None would you require fax required the application nor do you have to go through a credit assessment.
Even as have already pointed out this mortgage is made for the objective of catering the important but little financial wants, therefore the worth of the borrowed funds generally does not surpass the actual restrict regarding $1500. Quick payday loan exact same one which demands you to definitely complete the actual strict credit assessment or other troublesome paperwork, so you are given the loan sum inside of A day with the submission of your software. Instant payday loans virtually not any faxing does not necessarily mean that you have to wait in the bank's queue for 2 hours or perhaps fax needed our application as well as looking forward to it acceptance for any week; on the web submission of software would get you the loan quickly.

Wow they are certainly not giving these things away. Even the base model is not exactly cheap. But then again the SHO model was never cheap nor terribly successful.

I had the chance to briefly test drive a 2010 SHO and had some mixed feelings about it. It is quick, very quick though it doesn't push you back in your seat on hard acceleration like a high performance turbocharged engine usually does. Some folks might like this better as it does behave more like a naturally aspirated engine than a turbo one. That progressive acceleration and the size (and weight) of the car doesn't make it very fun to drive. Floor the throttle at 100 km/h and you realize you can get in serious trouble with the law in the blink of an eye only if you look at the speedometer...

Rear visibility is bad, and just atrocious when trying to parallel park. Thank God for that little backup camera in the rearview mirror; it is not great but you welcome any assistance in doing so. I was surprised the car had no Xenon lights (not even offered) and unless I just didn't notice the buttons, the car had no memory seats either. Considering the price, that is not nice... Another disappointment: the engine sound is just plain boring, with no sporting flavor whatsoever.

The car does feel rock solid, like a vault. It has to be one of the nicest highway car out there...

This is one BIIIIG car just it was meant to be. Added power is nice too.
An updated interior should be in order as the dash looks more like a F-150 than a car dash. A little inspiration from the revised Edge interior, which I find very attractive, would solve the problem. The exterior looks nice though and for the money (quite a bit of them) you get a lot of car.
Speaking of missing features, don't forget that even luxury cars (which Ford it is not) have them too. Judging by the number of recent model Acura and Lexus vehicles driving at night without lights the owners seem to believe that, for the money they paid, they should have auto-lights. Wrong. Auto-lights are available in econoboxes these days, but not on some luxury vehicles.  ???

This car is too heavy.  Had the opportunity of driving one for an afternoon in Los Angeles.  It reminds me of a 2000 Buick Regal GS with just a couple more luxury appointments. Car just doesn't feel right. Like when I owned the Regal GS, point the car straight and floor it - vrrrooom!.  But ease off the peddle for when that first curve comes, say a prayer.

Today, I can get the same performance from a normally aspirated Lexus GS350 for about the same money surrounded by better quality, luxury and the added value of snobbery.

...and why doesn't the domestics embrace supercharging?!  Always felt the 3.8 ltr supercharged engine in my Regal GS was sweet.  It gave me 147,000 miles of care-free driving in just six years.

Hey Mr. Pissy, what's the issue with what he said?  I agree completely with his comments.  ;D  At $50K, it's not cheap.  And the SHO was never a sales success.  I had a SHO.  Went through 4 transmissions...2 in one month!!  Thank goodness for warranty!!

How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Right off the bat.... its far too overpriced. I won't even look at it. Lots of alternatives to study first.

I have to agree with several of the earlier posters. For 50K there are so many other choices that this vehicle will not even be a blip on the radar for anyone other than rabid Ford fans.

Take that engine drop it in an AWD Fusion..then we can talk. The orgional v6 SHO was a Tauras yes but it was also much more of a lighweight. It had a manual tranny. It was much more "raw"

Fusion SHO becomes a budget S4.

Dang the Tauras is big. You don't realize till you see one up close. Do I like it? Yup in black it looks very imposing. But 50K yikes

Wow - so many negative comments to start - you all better be careful, that scraping sound you hear is the blue oval fanboys sharpening their knives.  ;)

I've said my peace on this car before.  Great motor stuffed in a vehicle that is too big, too heavy and too pricey.

Having seen a few on the road now, I have to say it hides its massive girth fairly well.  Which is to say, it doesn't look as big as it is, but it still looks pretty damned big.

As to the post above, I would be shocked to discover that Xenon headlamps weren't available at this lofty price point.

Is this the most expensive Ford sedan ever?  At $50k + it reminds me of the VW Phaeton and its lofty pricing but not quite as extreme.

I'd look at it - only literally though.  I think it has a sleak freight train styling, even if that is an oxymoron?  Interior isn't bad either.  Power numbers look good on paper but nice to see some initial posts of the driving feel.  Sounds like the SHO has last it's initial way being more fun than cruiser.

No way I'd spend my own money on the SHO or even recommend it to someone without a 20% discount before taxes.  A hemi awd charger can be had for $38k before taxes although with those nasty AWD alloys-that-look-like-hub-caps.  While I prefer the styling of the SHO over the Charger, it's not $12k+ worth of styling.

I don't think this car is overpriced.  It's expensive for sure but so are lots of other cars in Canada.

A fully loaded Lexus IS250 with 204hp and interior space for little people only is about 50K, A loaded V6 TSX is in the mid 40s, Even the V6 Genesis base model starts at 39K or so.  Just because it has a Ford badge on the front it seems too pricey.

Would have been  nice to see it badged as a Lincoln instead at that price?

Just becuase Lexus and Acura have some stupid pricing on their MID SIZED cars doesn't excuse the SHO price. Both those cars (the TSX in particular) are redicously overpriced. The TSX is 200 less than a freakn TL for goodness sake. An IS350 with the v8 os 45k.

Someone mentioned licon and I think that might be a fair point. Someone might pay 45-50 K for a LEXUS and the coresponding showroom serivce etc that goes with a LEXUS. Slaap a 50K price tag on a Camary where you need to sit in the same lumpy seat next to the guy getting his YAris serviced is a different story.

At that price level in a car people expect more than just a nice car they expect to be treated "special" not lumped in with the same group using the same facility and service level that the guy who has a 15 Festiva gets.

So, what is a competitive, full size, AWD, 365hp sedan?

As Roy mentioned, the Charger and it costs less.  Then there's the 300C.  If you crave even more power (but no AWD), get the STR8 versions which still cost less than the SHO.

It does cost less, admittedly.
The Charger runs about $42K vs the $49K of the SHO, comparably equipped.

The 300 is about $47K, comparably equipped.

But it is also a 6 year old design, that is getting a little long in the tooth, to say the least. Even if it is still a very nice driving car.

Aren't you also getting less in terms of equipment, features and quality?
