I feel guilty now.

The day after I took a picture of the ladybug, I saw it again (on the same glass). Remembering blur991's comments about swarming and biting, I took him outside into the cold and blew him off the glass.

I've killed a whole race!  :-[

Absolutely.  The best part is that it should make new lens purchases a little easier to sell to the wife.
