I promise that this is the last photo I'll post of this pumpkin. The others are already in the composter and this guy goes under the machete tomorrow. I just wanted to save him for this last photo experiment...a night shot with candle illumination. Worked out well.

My daughter dressed up nice and warm ready for her first trick or treat! Elliot and her both had a great time, and as a dad it was amazing to watch too..

I'll post the first Christmas photo of the season
.
I was stuck at home today waiting for a package delivery (that never came). The only way I could get out of the house and still be at home was to put up the Christmas lights on this plant (I have no idea what kind of plant) next to my front door. I did it during the daylight hours and I checked it this evening to see if there were any "holes" in the lighting:

Man, they are going up in our road as we speak. I thought it was only large corporations wishing to cash in early that got the Christmas stuff out so soon....

I took advantage of the nice weather today and went for a walk along the neighbourhood creek. These pics are all from today. I wish I'd had a tripod for the picture of the water rushing past the rocks. I wanted to use a slow exposure to blur the water but I had to handhold it. I took the picture at 1/8 of a second and it turned out ok but I'd like to try the same picture with a one second exposure.

This was taken in the early fall. I had forgotten about taking it. A friend fly fishing on the Ottawa.

Thanks Brig'!
I think it was taken at f2 for a very short depth of field, luckily I managed to get his eyes and the ladybug both in there!
