Went to Berg Lake in Mt. Robson Park for Friday night and Saturday. 23km backpack with 800M of gain to the lake, so not a massive effort, but I had the whole place to myself.  Did have to white-out navigate the flats in the valley due to heavy snow in the dark on Friday night as I packed in.  Robson's massive Emperor Face is the subject of most photos.  It's a prize in the climbing world, only tackled by the best of the best, and only climbed three times.

Wow, Johngenx - that looks harsh!

I prefer more sedate hikes like Mont St Hilaire

A good friend of mine is currently visiting the UK and France. He went to the WRC Rally of Great Britain this past weekend in Cardiff. I thought I would share some of the photos he sent me.

Wow, now those are car pics.

Why doesn't wing take pics like those to accompany his reviews? ("... and as a rally car the Honda Civic rocks!")  ;D

Is there somewhere online that I can watch the WRC races?

Thanks for sharing your friend's photos of the UK rally.  They remind me of playing Colin McCrae's Rally game on PS2 a few years back.  ;D

That's beautiful. You really have the macro stuff down.

Our leaves OTOH, are also not much for colour. They stayed green and then froze, going directly to grey/black.

Here's the end of line for that green pumpkin I posted a picture of several weeks ago. His destiny is almost fulfilled. Under that is this years crop of pumpkins from the garden.

Those will look fantastic with candles inside them, Dexer!  Great shot, too.  Love the orange glow.  :)

I agree.

How'd you get everyone else to cool their heels while you take the pictures??  :)

Those pumpkins are awesome.

Aw, thanks guys.  Thing is, I hike with fellow photography enthusiasts.  Sometimes we motor, but if the scenery and details are fascinating, we all stop and indulge.  That said, we've all gotten good at doing it on the fly as well.   :)

It's all a coincidence, really.  It really is mainly a hiking group!   :rofl2:  That said, I think it would be a challenge to find a group that doesn't have at least one person who enjoys taking pictures.
