The missus took this one as we approached Berg Lake earlier this month.  Shocking how little snow there was.  It's 22km/900M-vertical from the parking lot to the shelter, and for her that's a tough haul with a pack on.  At this point, we're only about 3km from the shelter - so she was feeling good that it wasn't far to go.

The shelter!  Not luxurious like some mountain huts, but in November, a roof and walls is awesome.

Oh, and a woodstove...

A year ago last November, we started the Grand Valley Trail.  Seventeen hikes/albums later, we are about three hikes away from completing this 275 km journey.  However, since we're still technically in the fall, this is one of the images I took on the first leg.

Tree and fallen apples.

Great shot!  That image definitely captures the feel of autumn for me.  Well done!

 Man vs nature.

A walk at Mt Nemo a week or so ago. It's a long way down, there are memorial benches of young guys along this trail.  :(

Yup, the colours are starting to come out near me in Brockville. These are from Friday at the local wildlife area.

These were from last fall - or maybe the one before that.  Walking the woodland trails through suburban Oakville.

Remains of a right whale.   Bones were too big to bring, got some baleen though, it looks like fiberglass strips.

A little bit of fog to go with the fall colours this morning.

Fog under the bridge - very moody - love it!
