Interesting report, Ross, thanks. Sounds like you are sorting things out, and all will fall into place. Glad it appears to be most of what you hoped for.

It must be a bad season for ticks everywhere, as it is here as well. The little bugs are here in far larger numbers this year than anyone I can remember. I have taken 2 off Drake in past month, and one off me yesterday before he reached the target zone. He was just crawling up my shirt when his life abruptly ended. We have stopped going into the trails and brush in the hills above our new house. Keep an eye on Daffi, as they do prefer dogs it seems.  :o

ARGH!  TICKS???   :fall:  Well, I suppose you could drench yourself in DEET every time you go out.  Ticks... dear Lord... argh... yuck... I'm getting itchy just thinking about those little bastids.

Nice to hear everyone's being cordial and helpful.  It also sounds like you will need to hire someone with a plow to clear your driveway in the winter.

Edit:  Oh!  Meant to mention that at my softball game tonight... a couple came walking through the park with THREE tollers!  Of course, I had to visit with them.  Only one of them had a blaze on her snoot, and it was very faint.  They were all good girls, and very calm.  I had piles of dog hair left behind on my pants and shirt, though.   :rofl2:

Maybe the ticks could run for office next time; people would be used to it by then.  :run:

You might want to check with a local Vet on the tick situation. Here in New Brunswick they are now advising having ticks taken off dogs sent to the lab to be tested for Lyme Disease(it seems to have become pretty widespread here). We had a positive result last year on our female Scottie.

Not bloody likely.  I don't expect to see that happen in my lifetime.  St Louis de HaHa, indeed.
