V6 Mustang, yes.

At least the Mustang has looks.

Yeah - 4 cylinder Sentra.

No argument on looks - the Sentra is fugly and the Mustang does look good.

As an aside - we are clearly living in the new age of the muscle car when bone stock 4 door family cars like the Camry, Legacy and Altima all post sub-6 second times.  Life is good.

Delicious to hear about the 335i. Slap on a Vishniu mod (ECU chip) and pushing high 300hp...

I've been getting the itch to trade up.  ;D

Surprised by just how quick the Legacy GT is. I didn't recall it being that quick.
Too bad it's such a jump in MSRP in Canada.

Nobody ever accused the current crop of V6 family sedans of being underpowered. :o

280ish FWD family V6 sedans..  don't care about.

The Legacy GT is a true sleeper though, loving it.

GTI's never been about straight-line speed--much more about handling and driver feedback--and the new crop of V6 family sedans are hideously overpowered (though not that great to drive from a subjective perspective).  I'm not surprised at all.

I just can't fathom how the WRX (265) is quicker than the STi...

There is no way.  STi doesn't weigh THAT much more than the WRX, right?

WRX has a 5-speed; STI has a 6-speed.

Just a guess, but maybe the WRX gets to 60 in first gear, while the STI needs a shift into second. It's a meaningless difference in the real world, but can have a significant impact on zero-to-sixty times.

From what I've read, the STI actually has a surprising amount of turbo lag.  Turbo lag kills 0-60 times, even if it doesn't necessarily hurt you on the track (so long as you keep the engine in the sweet spot).

Losing 30 horsepower but also losing that lag will improve 0-60 times.

Two shifts in a WRX, three in an STi. The smaller turbo also spools up faster so lag is almost none existent.
Mitlov, this was a test for 0-60, not lap times.

In the Camaro fuel economy thread, there seems to be some thinking that the Camaro attaining the same economy as the "lowly" V-6 family sedans is a big deal.  How about the fact that the V-6 family sedans are nearly as quick?

You're forgetting about the FWD versus RWD distinction.  It's pretty sweet when a modestly-more-powerful RWD car bests a modestly-less-powerful FWD car in fuel economy.
