“ This engine delivers V-8 levels of power – with an estimated 365 horsepower – without compromising its V-6 fuel economy… “ - jalopnik.com
C’mon, turbocharger is a device to burn more fuel in a given displacement. A modest boost of 7psi would turn the 3500cc engine into 5250cc in effect. If you drive gingerly at 65mph on a flat highway with no boost you might be able to get 25mpg. But as soon as you start driving aggressively to enjoy its thick torque, you will be able to see the fuel gage needle move. Ask owners of 335i, CX-7, RDX and 2.0T if they are happy with the fuel consumption when driving spiritedly. The energy does not come from nothing. You have to burn more gas.
