Ricardo Montalban dead at 88

More "suave" in that one man than the entire Iberian peninsula. Very sad.

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I always wondered what the hell that was supposed to mean. The leather came from Newark, New Jersey. Nothing to do with Corinth at all. ;D

A friend of mine had a Cordoba in university. No Corinthian was ever near it. A few Naugas were sacrificed to the interior though. A very unpleasant car.

The guy lived to be 88 and had a better life than 99.9999% of the people on this planet. Nothing sad about that.

My brother-in-law had a Chrysler Cordoba, a '76 IIRC, with very strange 'Navajo'-patterned upholstery . A  wallowing pig of a car.

^^ Not to mention a few guest appearances on that other icon of Seventies television, The Love Boat. Back then, it just didn't get any better than that..  ;D

He had a great turn on Hawaii Five-O as a race car owner/driver that someone was trying to kill.

It is the Season 5 episode called Death Wish on Tantalus Mountain and he drives a couple of Pantera's.  And a real nice 240Z.

This was one of the cars (the other was yellow):

And who will forget him as Khan?

We have lost a classy actor   :'(

The Cordoba's length was 18 feet!  However, it's 3,700 lb curb weight isn't bad when compared to current vehicles.

I always though the midget got the short end of the stick (pun intended) as he never got a drink during the toast at the beginning of the show.   "My dear guests! Welcome to Fantasy island..."

Loved the SCTV parody of Fantasy Island with John Candy as "Pattoo" and Eugene Levy as Roarke  :rofl2:
