I bought myself my kids a Super Deker Pro, set it up this morning.  The thing is a blast.  I'm gonna have two little danglers in no time.  And my personal productivity is gonna take a big nosedive  :P

Learned something new, always assumed that drain assemblies in bathtubs were really difficult to swap out, having never installed a tub myself. However, the drains in two of our tubs here were really corroded, so I did some youtube research and learned it's a super easy job. Bought two new assemblies ($30 USD...seems pricey) and swapped them out today, nice light Christmas day repair that made these tubs much more inviting to use.
The first one is a standard tub in my son's bathroom....literally the worst corroded drain I've ever seen. The other one is in one of those Jacuzzi tubs, that were all the rage like 20 years ago, in our master bath.

Any of you have a sit / stand desk at home?   I'm looking at those hundred of options on Amazon..

I’ve got two: a Seville from Costco (it’s fine, but doesn’t go low enough). Find one with dual motors if you can

A frame from a company called motiongrey and an ikea counter top as a surface. The Seville not going low enough caused me quite a bit of neck pain so I got the motiongrey unit. It’s been good, and is a good balance between price and features.

There are lots of options but due to the size/bulkiness of a desk I wanted something with good reviews/quality. Dual Bosch motors are a big plus, and it’s reasonably quiet.

I ordered a vivo on Amazon, the legs only. I'll re-use the top of my desk as it's an old teacher's desk from the 70s

No delivery option but a great deal if you can cash and carry.

Those Jacuzzi tubs are nasty. I had one in our master. Stagnant water sits in the jet lines. Turn on the jets and woosh bits o' slime/mold. Step 1. Fill tub.. Add bleach and run the jets for awhile. Step 2. Drain tub, refill, drop in dishwater tab and run jets again. Finally drain and refill and run a rinse.

^Yep, our realtor said the same thing, and we did exactly that....couple times, lol. Didn't see any slime/mold, but wanted the peace of mind that it was clean....Not my thing at all, Mrs.Firm has used it a couple times.

A friend of ours had her cousin housesit for her once. The cousin got in the bath and turned the jets on not realizing they hadn't been used in forever. Needless to say it was pretty gross.  ;D

I've been using a beautifully built piece of gear lately. End game stuff...nothing better on market IMO.

It's for herb consumption though. Not sure if I should post?

I know there are some people here who as car nuts appreciate beautifully built things.

 I know I do!

Whirlpool dishwasher started leaking across the kitchen floor yesterday, started thinking dark thoughts as it's only a few years old

Dripping was from the front right corner, from this white plastic thing, turns out that holds the float level switch, who's actuating arm goes through the bottom of the dishwasher tub:

Figured out how to take the switch/rocker assembly apart, thanks to youtube, and this freed up the float which showed how things were fastened from above

Assembly felt fairly tight, but took the nut off anyway, showing the gasket. Still seemed good, so cleaned everything up and put it back together, giving it a bit extra of a tighten

Leak fixed. Thanks Youtube! Also impressed with the ease of disassembly of the whole thing, like working with Lego

Nice! Most appliances are pretty easy to work on, I guess they make them pretty dummy proof these days because you never know the quality of the service tech. YouTube is a big help, tons of great appliance repair info on there.

Mine leaked too, once.

Turned out there was a slice in the gasket around the door.

While easy to fix, it was a fussy install in only a way a gasket (or weathestripping) can be.

This valve leaked in my case. Was a PITA to get to.
