Doesn't hurt to get OEM dealer pricing, especially for non-Euro stuff. You'd be surprised on the prices.

I know its common for Toyota to use Akebono pads. Not sure about the rotors.

i have no idea what the f those glass things are...  are they bongs?

spent the weekend cutting up fallen tree branches in the back yard.  3 big ones fell one morning over winter.... i really should hire arborist to trim the trees around the house.
used battery powered reciprocating saw..  couldn't cut the thickest part of the branches, which are over 5 inches thick, so i'll ...just move them to the side. :D

used drill brush to clean the bathroom tiles/grouts.

Driving thrills makes my wallet lighter.. and therefore makes me faster because i'm shedding weight... :D

That is some serious glass!

I set up an old timey barometer on the weekend, so far it has been very sensitive to pressure changes. Looking forward to seeing how well it forecasts storms coming in

That is some serious glass!

Thanks, all.

2 of them are no longer made, so they've gone up considerably since they're essentially limited edition glass art pieces.

As far as barometers. I remember family friends has barometers or thermometers made from glass where all of the different temps/pressures were little floating glass bubbles of various colors within the main liquid chamber.

Do you remember those??

They are called "Galileo Thermometers" apparently. I think I'm going to buy one!

Yes, they are.

The blue and clear one made by Gear is an ice catcher model. The ice goes in the collar to further cool. I've loaded some ice in to demonstrate.  See image below. Their website: http://www.gearpremium.ca/

The complicated looking one is by Mobius. It's a dual matrix model. It was discontinued after the initial line was created. It was re-introduced recently. I've added an ash catcher (the tiny beaker looking thing on the side) to help keep it clean since the matrix heads can get plugged by debris. And it's sealed so it's tough to clean. https://mobiusglass.com/collections/all-products

The wooden globe one was a local guy I wanted to support.

I not a "chronic" user, so I wanted to have nice gear when I vape it. I use the latest and greatest Arizer Air Max dry herb vaporizer.

Dishwashers seems to be a popular forum thread so here is mine.  Wife and I think the last Whirlpools were purchased about 14 years ago.  The problem with one of them last week was that the door started leaking along the bottom.  Looks like the slightly hard water took it's toll.

Since Sears collapsed not that many appliance retailers left in my area.  All where exact same price on the exact same unit.  Walked into the local Home Depot which I love and purchased 2 and then was informed that I was getting $100 off each and free delivery.  I had read on Bloomberg that manufactured goods inventory was sky high so that must be it.  Additionally, Home Depot was taking the old unit free of charge which is a pretty nice perk when you are in a jurisdiction that requires payment for any waste product.  Plus my old and new units are stainless tubs which really adds the weight.

Overall very satisfied.  Third top rack for knives.  Very quiet and have exposed lower heating coil otherwise useless.  However, set on normal, sani heat, and heat dry these new units run 3.5 hours each cycle.  :o

And yet they still use less water than doing the dishes in the sink apparently!

But when I bought mine a "quick wash" cycle was a must.

I've found if you take appliances to waste disposal they charge you by weight plus a per item surcharge.  If you take it to a scrap metal dealer they give you money.  YMMV depending on locality.

Wrecking yard very near me takes all things metal for free.  For the small stuff one just dumps it out at the entrance where if possible you toss your metal things inside a wrecked vehicle.  The local Miller transfer station charges ridiculous fees.

The government in my very large jurisdiction collects NOTHING.  This is certainly a failure of both the Federal and Provincial governments that collect the HST on all physical goods.   I've given up trying to recycle.  Old car tires on rims, ATV tires on rims; Miller wants $25 for each tire off rim. Only option.  So what we did is put each in a green garbage bag and tossed them into the big container bin.  No wonder there are tires lying all over the place in rural areas.

We just put anything metal at the curb.

There are several independent metal recyclers who cruise the streets looking for this stuff.

It doesn't last much more than a day or so.

Same, I put it at the curb and then go on Marketplace and search for scrap metal pickup....text the address to the first one that shows up and it's usually gone within an hour.

Saw this amazing deal on a hard top car port so bought it.  It’s pretty much the perfect size to cover the space between mine and the neighbours house.  He’s paying for half of it and will help put it together.  After shipping and taxes it was just a bit more than $1,600 a piece.

The city zoning ok with that between the houses? They would not be here with fire codes and such.
