So definitely not me, but a guy I used to Mountain Bike with moved to Whistler a few years ago and started selling real-estate.  I guess he's doing very well for himself, because he just bought a helicopter.  A Robinson R44.

And yes, he built a helipad in his backyard.  Just living the dream, eh?

It got bigger over time, helps that I hate mowing lawn

No buds, that takes some expertise!

Lots of corn right now, and tomatoes/tomatillos/squash/beans. Raspberries wrapped up and just pulled all the garlic.

It takes no skill at all outdoors.

There's a reason it got the name "weed".

Yup.  From what I see there is more than enough expertise in that backyard.

I moved all mine from pots to the ground as they were getting too big.
Plus we're going away for a month.
They're doing nicely ;D

Knew a guy who was prepping a POS Miata (iirc) as an Auto-X beater car.  Interior got rained on, but he didn't care since he was gutting it.  Pulled out all the wet interior, sound deadening/insulation and threw it in his shed.  A few weeks passed and he needed something from the interior he pulled out.  Low and behold, several seedlings are sprouted out of the carpet/insulation.  Somehow some seeds were in the carpet (probably from previous owner) and the wet carpet+humidity of shed made for a perfect seedling nursery.    :rofl2:

That's how much skill it takes... :rofl2:

Heh. True, just growing Mexican ditch weed is not hard.

But producing good stuff is altogether different, at least from what I understand. Humidity and light length/intensity are a couple of things that people are putting a lot of work into

A hardy outdoor strain is easy...and there are MANY suited to our climate.  Start with feminized seeds.  Plant in spring, harvest in fall.  Really, you can get very good stuff outdoors with minimal to no effort.  Let nature do it's thing.

Hydroponic you need to really have your stuff dialed in, but once you do...you can REALLY get some incredible yields/quality since you have control of absolutely every variable.

I suspect if you did some outdoors, your plants would be spectacular...as you seem to have a knack for this sort of thing.

PM sent.   ;)

But outdoors, there's just something spectacular about seeing a plant that's as big as an X-mas tree.... :rofl2:.

Like Ron says, it's a weed.  Give enough sun and it's indestructible sans the Police of course.  Only constructive thing Trudeau has done and he deserves the credit;  put a stop to lazy cops looking for weed as something to fill their day as they ignore serious issues.

Favourite cop saying; police are like water as they always take the course of least resistance.  Talking about the institution, rather than the individual cop who shows up and then is told what to do and what not to do.

^ We have the Nest which does all the same stuff as above.... but it fails in what should be the most basic function - temperature accuracy.
It is off my 3 degrees F (I have it set to fahrenheit because i'm old school...).  It reads 73 when it's actually 70...
Seems to be a common complaint.

So, it sucks as a thermostat, but hey i can change the temperature with my phone, so there's that...  ::)
Ecobee allows you to change that is there's an issue (temperature correction).
I love my EcoBee!

Geese moved into my waterfront property about 3 years ago. :P   Does the BS ever end.  >:(    What a horrible dirty bird.  It's amazing the sh*t that comes out of those things.  In the spring I dispatch the b*astards.  But in the summer it's too much of a risk so I counter attacked with these.  These birds are smart and they now avoid my place, but still paddle by to close and when they do I hit them with a SCREAMER (green ones) and then a BEAR BANGER (red ones stored individually as they are fairly explosive  ;D).  You need two guns for this as they are hard to load quickly.  The other red ones are a bit of a disappointment (WHISTLERS), but you gotta try things.

The trick is to hit them with a screamer and then as they are just lifting off you nail them with a banger.  Don't see the b*astards for weeks after that.  :rofl2:  Thanks to some dumb law in the 90's there are now millions of excess geese fouling everything in sight and getting sucked into or hitting planes.  Even other birds hate these things.  What a fack up.
