Nice buy Tom!! Looks great!! That will be lots of fun for you & the wife

Didn't realize the boat market was that crazy? I'm just getting mine out of storage later today... maybe I should slap a for sale sign on it & get rid of the damn thing

Picked up a new (to us) boat a couple of days ago.  Graeme (Sailor) should get a kick out of my choice.   ;)

The only thing better than buying a new boat is having a friend who buys a new boat.  During this pandemic he upgraded what he currently has with one of these https://www.bayliner.com/boats/deck-boat/dx2250.html been out on it a few times already this summer.

New fences all around and topped them off today with some aluminum post caps. 4x6 posts so I hope the next time they need work it wont be our issue.

i think you mean 6x6 posts...we built our fence when we moved in...6x6 posts weren't very common, so we just have 4x4...we've had to replace a few of them over the years (rot)...our fence isn't as fancy (you have the top and bottom trim and boards side by side)...we just have alternating sides with a bit of overlap (so you can see through it if you look at a 45 degree angle) except for the back which is side by side...i don't know what we'll replace it with when the time comes.

That’s a fence!!!  Is that the I Hate My Neighbours version?

Musta cost a Corolla’s worth of cash too. A good used one at least.

When we redid our deck I was looking for 6x6 posts but the guy swore they don’t make those. So I bought 4x4s and wrapped them and made my own. I learned later the guy is just one big lazy MOFO when I asked for something else much later he said they can’t get anymore and the next day there it is, on the shelf.  If you wander the lumber section now...6x6 posts up the wazoo.

Is it my imagination or are the boards and posts  in the 1st picture   vertical even when the fence is going downhill  but on the other side they are in line with the posts which are not vertical or is this an artifact of the camera angle?

4x6 is just fine talking to people that do this professionally. 6x6 looks fantastic and with the posts going down 48", your fence will take a thermonuclear strike, but is an expensive overkill. I have never heard of 5x5s

Camera angle, they are all straight up and down
