My 2 y.o. pool pump started dripping at the end of last season, so I knew the seal was shot - salt build-up as evidence (my in-ground has a salt chlorinator). Pool stores reopened on April 20th (essential service?), so I was able to buy a new seal kit for 10$ (cheapest online was 32$...). Took the pump apart, cleaned everything, swapped in the seal kit, done. Motor bearings seemed fine, so I left that alone for now.
Of course, it snowed this morning and it's -14 C windchill outside...
When it warms up, I'll hook it up and I'll add some schock to the water to make it blue again.
On to the next project...
