I can't believe this thread is nearly 12 years old  :o
As we are all 12 years older  maybe we need a new thread.   What jobs you can't do yourself anymore.

The most radical revolutionary will become a conservative the day after the revolution.

I tried  to watch a actual video on a total hip replacement got as far as they start to spread the cut open then turned it off 😱
Maybe I should start with an animated video first
This may not be a DIY job

Man up, get a local and watch your own ;D
Talk about being late to the party , that post was from 2015
I was happy to be put out for all the replacement
A friend was awake for a knee replacement, he said you could feel them hammering in the replacement   :o

I have no idea how that popped up looking like a new post to me.  Doh, too much rum last night....or just enough  ;D

Make a motherboard cake at work

Nice!

This weekend I did a bunch of fixing, changing the leaky kitchen faucet to a new Hansgrohe Cento unit that came on sale:

And changing out our ancient KitchenAid dishwasher from a new Whirlpool:

Both from Costco, who has been good to deal with. The first dishwasher arrived with a dent in the back, they at first offered to drop $100 off the price, but as the dent is low in the tub we felt more comfortable with an exchange, which arrived in a week.

Hopefully will get a bit of a rebate on the dishwasher due to the KitchenAid lawsuit on the ones that caught fire

My to me toolbox with some old stickers on it. The stickers are Snap-on but the tool box is a metal Beach one. Oddly enough this is the first tool box I have ever bought.

Bought one of these sound bars last week.

https://ca.jbl.com/BAR+2.0+ALL-IN-ONE.html?mrkgadid=3357827722&mrkgcl=1221&mrkgen=gtext&mrkgbflag=1&mrkgcat=product&utm_content=Bar+2.0&utm_term=jbl_bar_20&utm_campaign=Con%7CText%7CProducts&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=cpc&&device=c&network=g&matchtype=b&locationid=%7Bloc_phyiscal_ms%7D&creative=386755912721&targetid=aud-569422400801:kwd-468608033214&campaignid=1560552610&adgroupid=80671802564&kxconfid=unnmhyek8

I’ve been looking for one and this came up for $179 at the Source and I had it delivered to work.  Great improvement  over the standard speaker. My tv doesn’t have HDMI ARC though but luckily I had a spare fibre optic cable in the junk drawer.  ;D

^^ I looked at that one (or very similar by JBL) before I bought my Klipsch.

And yea...it sounds real good.

My tv is stand mounted so I needed something that would fit and that narrowed the choices down a lot.

Oh yeah, and I bought a truck today and I pick it up tomorrow afternoon.  ;D

Yeah, I thought he had a work truck?   But maybe it's full of tools...dunno.

So a Frontier?   They're the KLR of pickups  :rofl2:

that's a really good truck...a relative bargain in the market right now...looks good, quite capable, and even though it's an older platform, it's pretty solid for reliability...well done.
