Replaced the vents on my dryer and air exchanger yesterday and found these two hornets just inside the air exchanger exhaust vent.  There were also a few smaller ones attached to the inside of the vent cover itself and nest remnants in the intake vent as well.   Not unusual to find them there but never seen this many before.  Wish I could find a vent cover with an access latch for cleaning purposes.

I made a little square "picture frame" out of wood and covered that with door screen.  I put that on my vent.  No bugs can get in.

Good idea.  They never make that kind of stuff with serviceability in mind.  Turns something that should take five minutes into a half day event.   ::)

Had to do something similar on another vent leading outside after a bird thought it would be a good idea to build a nest in there.

Way late to the game, but need something to do indoors in my little apartment during the cold dark winter months.

Say buhbye to ypu social life.  COD multiplayer, highly addictive
Bah, even the campaign mode is quite addictive. Something to fill the "after dinner" gap. It's cold and raining all winter week non-stop anyway. #Germany

I haven't played any sort of vidéo game since university; getting the hang of the controls but gotta work on my speed. Then I can get into multiplayer (subscription mandatory though, grrrrr). Who knows, might turn out to be a trans-Atlantique thing, playing with my friends in France and US.  :D . Kind of cool doing the whole game in français too lol.

No, I've lost my taste for cars. I picked up a used copy of WRC 7 but meh, that's enough and no desire to buy a steering wheel. I was already quite satisfied unboxing the PS4 because I don't usually buy nice things. Last unboxing was almost a year ago when I bought a sorely-needed monitor. So it was a moment of "Wow, this is cool"  :o

Will admit I was hugely addicted to Gran Turismo back on the PS2, was one reason why my mother punted me off video games.

You can also get free banking (performance plan) with BMO if you're parent or sibling of military. No need for the CFOne card for that

I bought a new snowblower today.  I (somewhat) agonized over buying a new one.  I bought my old one new in 1996-97 or so.  And it starts ever darn pull and never gave me an issue.  My problem was it wouldn't sweep right down to the asphalt (I had my driveway paved a couple years back).  So if I didn't clear off the remaining, it would freeze and make a mess.  Another issue I ran into is new snowblowers are HUUGE.  Like a new 22-24" seems double the size of my current one!

Am hopeful the new one solves the issue a bit better.

^ single stage?
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Oh :censor:.  I guess it would make sense if I mentioned what I bought.

I put a lot of faith in this website.  They haven't lead me astray yet.  I also read a power equipment forum review and found people who live around the Great Lakes with the same blower.  Most everyone seems extremely satisfied with it.

My dad has a Toro single stage.  The paddle has a stiff rubber edge on it.  He can go down right to the pavement.

I just hope...I mean REALLY hope it's a dead reliable as my old one.

I have a guy in a 3/4 ton GMC.  If I spread 40kgs of salt after he's done I get down to the pavement too.  ;D

I'm lazy.  :) I just don't want to go back over it with a shovel or salt.

Ya, I knew single stages were like that. Didn’t know they made a two stage that clears right down also.

I have a two stage 27”. It’s total overkill for my 3 car city driveway. But it is nice to be able to cut through what the grader leaves behind once in a while.

Yea..I'll have to see how it works tackling the mound at the end of the driveway left by the plow truck.

How much did it run you? Clearing to the pavement sounds ideal.

Best thing about a Toro is the no clog shute.  You can blow slush out of those things and they don't clog.

Yea, I read that and influenced a bit on the decision side.  By the lake we frequently get wet snow. I actually saw a video of a guy blowing nothing but water out of one.  LOL

I take it you've used one of these style before?

Glad to hear your insights...
