Lexus got its oil changed at the dealer.  They recommended engine air and cabin filter too.

Engine air filter was 26 bucks and cabin filter was 60 something.  Told them to change the engine air filter only.  Picked up cabin filter on my way home and changed it in the garage. Took 3 minutes. And 27 dollars.

So I paid 230 dollars for basically oil change and engine air filter.

The Ajax Lexus dealer charges $99 for oil change , is it that much more in Calgary?

So I finally got around to finishing off the front porch that was started last October, yikes!!!! We were trying to figure out our options this spring of what we needed to do. In the end the porch is less than 24" off the ground so railings are not required, even though there were some originally. Ended up just going with pressure treated 4x4 posts that I put on adjustable post supports so I could raise them into place as opposed to trying to jack up the roof & then install the posts. Then I managed to find a vinyl wrap to put around the posts, had to buy it online outta Woodbridge, but it's pretty slick. Had to reinstall all the soffit as well which was a royal pain in the arse!

Here's a few pics, one from the original porch & then a few from working on it. The rest are a few pages back, lol!

Boss!
Looks cleaner for sure and works for young-ish people...but I know old people would still want the handrail for hanging onto.

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Thanks guys...

The handrail was great for resting a case of beer on while I unlocked the front door, but that was about it, lol! And it was a pain to shovel the snow off with it on there.
