If you want something done right you do it yourself...lol. Besides, i actually like doing this kind of stuff, but my back tells me different.
It was more than just the walkway/deck as well. I put in some drainage earlier this year and used the old 3/4 gravel from the driveway for the drainage ditch, so had to scrape it all off the driveway first. Then I spread 4 inches of new 1/4 minus gravel on the entire driveway (about 32 yards). Then had to rip apart my old paver walkway and the landscaping ties that were used as edging before. Also, that curbing/edging stone all had to be cut to fit the space. They come in bricks of 8x4x12" and i had to cut each one in half, then the curved pieces all had to be cut to fit as well. I cut it all using a circular saw with a masonary blade. It was a big time consuming job!
We are happy with the end result. I was going to go composite on the decking but it's 10 times the price and not even sure if we even like it that much.
