^^This is a second calling for you maybe?

All of the small paint guys around here are always busy and usually turn down work.
I don't know.   I need more practice,  put too much bondo on and sand forever.

I was going on the theory that if I can feel it I can see it.   Sure enough even things I couldn't feel were missed.

But that's the game I guess.

Not 100% sure how perfect it needs to be....   I primed it and some spots obviously need more sanding.   But a few spots you can see where the putty to no putty transition is but you can feel it.

So are those okay ?  I have a feeling it will still be visible after paint.

If you can't feel it then it can most likely be block sanded out after primer. I use the same "if I can feel it then I'll see it" theory when I am working on the filler. Once it get it all feeling smooth I lay down a few coats of primer and then block sand, if you've got enough primer down you can sand out those transition spots perfectly.
Thanks,  that was my next plan.   400 grit wet sand.   Should be much better after that.

Then back to bondo lol,  as there are some spots I missed.   This piece was badly damaged though so it's coming back to life.

I'll also have to grind down the carbon fiber in o e area that was repaired too high.

^ What about the ghetto blinds?   LOL!  Looking good Firm, pace yourself.  Remember, it's the holidays.  Rome wasn't built in a day.

Lol, yep, ghetto blinds are coming down in favor of some nicer custom units, I just left these up for some privacy for now as we're still sleeping in the room. So far I am enjoying the process and keeping it at the reasonable pace - for now  ;D

Shouldn't be that hard.  A good shot to a pickle fork should pop the ball joint right out of there.

Since it was warm and I found my missing sanding block.   I figured I would tackle the engine cover again.

Another hour of sanding.

Finally got rid of the high and low spots.

A final primer coat and it looks way better than before.   Did find 4 minor blemishes I'll need to fix before paint but I'm almost there now.

18" Winter wheels for the Q50S arrived today.  After purchasing two other sets that wouldn't clear the callipers, these better f'ing fit.  I purchased them directly from Infiniti, and they claim that they will.

Finding two pairs of rims that fit and look good can be more frustrating than finding a pair of shoes that do the same, but when the former is accomplished, it makes you feel like a child on Christmas. Every day.  :D

Those look pretty nice!

Yeah, hopefully they will look pretty decent on the car.  I really liked the last set that I bought that was similar but in gun metal, but unfortunately they didn't fit.

So I wanted to get some undercabinet lighting for the kitchen to both create nice accent lighting in the evening when the main kitchen light is off, and to function as task lighting when working on the countertops preparing food.  Our main kitchen light is a fluorescent tube light that lights up the kitchen brightly, but due to it's central location in the ceiling casts lots of shadows on the counter when you're working.

Turns out Ikea has a lot of affordable home lighting solutions.  I ended up buying 2x 3 packs and 1x 1 pack of LEDBERG for about $40 total.  The biggest advantage to their system is cost and the quality/type of light being thrown (seeing that they're LED spotlights, vs strips).  The disadvantage is that each 'kit' requires a separate plug and switch.  I solved these problems by drilling holes in the underside of the cabinets and running all the wires at the back of them.  I then installed a 3x powerbar INSIDE the corner cabinet, ran the plug through the bottom of the cabinet and plugged it into one of the counter plugs.  The 3 switches for the 7 lights got glued just inside the door of the corner cabinet, so to turn on/off all the lights you can just open one cabinet door and all the switches are lined up there ready for you.

The final result is....satisfying.  I'm really happy with how it looks.  It brightens up the kitchen just enough, and provides enough light so as to able to perform small tasks like pouring a drink even with the main kitchen light off.
