Haven't bought it yet still debating.  I have an offer to make but he won't take it.  My friend with the GT40 is the guy selling it.  He has like 8 race cars, he's getting rid of a few of them.

It's an Audi A5 with a 2.0T, 280hp, obviously that could be a lot more if wanted.  It's a 6MT of course and quatro.

Car was built by Pfaff in 2011, has 4000km, was never street driven was taken off the showroom floor and stripped down.  Probably about an $80k build.  He wants 20 I want it for 15

It sold in 2012 for 25k.  Check out most race car builds they all spend stupid money.

There are $70k civics around,  you never get the money back and these guys always just try to sell the cars as whole.

Think about an A5 that's $40k base,  put a pro cage in it and strip it,  easy 6-8k, then blueprint the motor and custom tune,  another 10-15, then suspension,  brakes and safety gear

Doesn't seem like a good or even sensible platform to start off with...but whatever.

Yeah I'm not sure,  hence my hesitation.   But a k04 and 400+hp might make it interesting no?

It's pretty quick since it's stripped down and apparently easy to drive because of the long wheelbase

Went to Home Depot to get a flapper for the main level toilet (which pisses me off as it is about 2 years old).  While in that section, saw a vanity that I liked (2 cupboards, 3 drawers, granite top) marked down to $350 from $849 cause of a couple of scratches.  Also saw a Delta toilet that was on sale for $159 (from $210).  Using the vanity and toilet for the kids bathroom upstairs that still has the crappy contractor stuff that came with the house.

Later in the afternoon went to Leons with my wife to get a sofa for the basement.  That only took 1 hour to agree on a style.  While there we also saw some bunk beds for the kids bedroom.  They are a little young still, so the top won't be used for a couple of years.  But we liked the style, average build quality, the colour, and great price.

So a few unexpected purchases today....

So, I bought that RC truck. It was supposed to be a fun winter project, but I was excited to try it out before the snow flew, so got on building it a little sooner than expected.

Had a blast building it, and have had it out a few times now already. Also having a blast running the thing!

Ya, very cool Heli.  My oldest boy (9) bought himself, with Dad's help assistance, a buggy style RC car this past spring.  Its a cheap no name brand, but it goes like mad and so far has held together.  However, the build quality seems poor and I have a feeling at some point it will just start falling apart.  When that happens I'll look into something of better quality like yours.  Plus he would love building it.  Thanks for posting.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Bought a Vizio Sound bar last month for the basement.  Wife is sleeping after working nights.  Hanging out in the basement with the kids. They are in the playroom, I am in the living room making a Christmas list on the laptop.  Recently installed Spotify, subscription came with Rogers.  Streaming Blue Rodeo on the laptop.  After the second song, I clue in that I could playback this on the sound bar.  Press the Bluetooth button on the remote.  Pop up on the laptop, do you wish to pair, click Yes. Done!  Pretty sweet and easy.

Finished changing over some of my deck boards to cedar, and shifted the 10X12 shelter I have on it to cover the barbecue area for the winter. Used two sturdy foldable ladders and some boards to make a walkway, so I could lift the whole assembly with my legs and shuffle it over.

Was surprised to discover the impact driver I bought to change lug nuts made: 1) an excellent lag bolt driver, and with the handy included adapter 2) a great remover of old painted in deck screws, way better than the drill I had been using.

What kind of adapter to remove the painted in deck screws?
