Lots of rural people have no better option. Particularly in Ontario where the hydro rates make heating with electricity productively expensive.

2.4 Million Ontarians have no access to NG lines.  Almost all farms operate on LP.  Ontario has a lot of farms.  I have NG in Owen Sound, but outside of it's all LP.  The pop of Owen Sound is 10K.  Surrounding the OS is a pop of 40K.

In Ontario if you heat by electricity you're fooked.

Good news is that Ford is now allowing none farm properties to install 1000 gallon torpedo tanks.  My son is getting one installed next month as he now lives there.  I'll be sticking with my 500.

in most cases, you have to special order the LP versions...while LP is found more often in rural areas, it's a tiny fraction of appliance sales (likely less than 1%)...NG and electricity dominate the market...likely the only place who would stock LP versions is small town appliance stores (since their customer base is more likely to use them)...this is also why the conversion kits are not included...most won't need it and it would be an added expense for the majority who don't need it...BBQs are like this too...you either order the LP or NG versions...you can usually convert them, but the kit isn't included (at least from what i've seen).

The point of my post was the idiocy of how gas appliances are constructed in such away that makes what should be a simple conversion so laborious or burner maintenance for that matter.  On the LG dryer, if LG had simply installed a small detachable panel on the back behind the burner then presto .... access.  But oh no, take the drum out instead sucker.

replaced trunk struts on the SLK and M3.
also replaced the cracked fog lights on the SLK.

parts came from rockauto; quick as usual.
new trunk strut for the Merc came from Stabilus, OE manufacturer.(original that came off the car also has "Stabilus" printed on it, along with Merc logo; new one missing Merc logo though)  $28~ for the pair.

fog replacement was easy.  just need to find a clear plastic film i can put on it so it won't crack anymore, hopefully. matching PIAA part #, $80.

M3 trunk structs were actually still in decent shape surprisingly for 20 year old original...  i think i could have got away with just greasing the connectors, but oh well.   new struts went on super quick, and now trunk practically jumps open.  $22


Merc struts though...   FACKING PAIN in the A$$...   tiny little struts, so strong, it won't even move with my entire body pressing down on it.   why would it matter, you say?    well...  the uncompressed strut is like 5mm too long for connectors to pop in easily, so i tried very hard to compress the struts a little bit, and that's how i found out how strong these trunk struts are.

in the end, i had to take the trunk lid off the car, (heavy as FACK) pop in the new struts, and ...had a heck of a time trying to put the trunk lid back on...

the original ones that are worn and hardly keeps the trunk open, even that one is still strong enough for my body weight and still won't budge.  no wonder merc weighs a ton...

Nice we are looking for a cheap sound bar for our living room tv.  You'll have to let us know what you think of this one.

Just tried it really quick. The sound bar is pretty good but the bass is a bit small.   If you have a big room and want descent bass you might want something a big bigger

He had pressure switch in stock, and it was covered under warranty but the service wasn’t , but since I done work for him he said I could install and save the labour charge , a hour later the house was warm again
