Civil litigation.  When the economy's in the shitter, people turn on each other.  Business in my office is booming  :)

Damn you lawyers! :P
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

I wonder if the same is true now of the Power Sports industry?

The bug in ATV/Bike sales currently is the clamp down on financing.  Best rate at Honda is essentially 9% and only if credit is solid.  Suzuki (Laurentian Bank) is 8.75 and credit must be solid.  If not, it's GE credit at 18%.  :P  80% of units are financed.  Margins are low.  Profit, if you can call that, is in clothing and accessories and then parts.

Was talking with an owner of a shop a month ago, he said  a lot of people were buy with cash
And kijiji was were he was getting most of his leads

The RCMP is hiring but you must be willing to relocate any where in Canada they send you immediately after you graduate from their academy.

It's part of a phenomenon called nesting.  People are focusing on the little stay-at-home hobbies instead of more expensive, extroverted hobbies.

Funny you mention that.  Just yesterday I heard that Britons are having more sex than ever because it's their cheapest form of entertainment...  :)

US Army recruitment is way up, too.  But you must be willing to relocate to Iraq and get shot at.  :/

Well, if my tax dollar goes towards your Porsche fund, I don't mind. But if it is for some useless campaign, then ... What am I saying? Is there anything useful from from Gov't ads?

Don't blame the lawyers  :)  We're just the tools.  We don't make people fight each other.  We're just the fists, not the intent behind them.

Despite the collapse of project execution and contacting work in mining the financial evaluation work has picked up, I have received a few calls wondering if I got terminated yet. My timing into the work of contacting could have not been better in August; I’m the only person on the second floor of our Sudbury office….quietly engineering my own demise.

I think alcohol stores could see an increase--more people will drink in bad times.

Yup, so far, so good.  I work in the booze business and we've been busy.  Definitely more than other years at this time, but, come New Years Day, when everyone wakes up with an economic hangover, we'll see.

We're expecting business to continue, but people will be buying the cheaper bottles, and passing on the higher ones.  That suits me just fine. ;)

A Friends of mine is in the cable instalation business and also provides the equipment to operate it. Those PVR Boxs are going like crazy he says as the demand has increased tremendously since the folks are spending so much more time at home. Many repair garages are also extremely busy as new car sales are much slower as well.  :)

An article in a recent newspaper does have me a bit concerned though.
It stated that during hardtimes, people tend to drink more and have less sex. :o

Oh my gawd, good times at work, but not at home. :'(

Even though the blackberry storm got some tough reviews when it launched, it is selling like the proverbial hot cakes!  People seem to forget that the iPhone was full of bugs when it came out too, the new software update is out now so should sort a few out.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...
