Preliminary pic of 09 mazda MX-5
« on: November 24, 2008, 08:24:30 pm »
Don't know if this has been posted before .http://miata.net/news/2009_preliminary_mx5_info.pdf
Mazda's smiley grille theme is continued but not as noticeable as the mazda 3. Maybe they are getting away from the "zoom zoom"
I think the proof will be in the driving.

Mazda is going all smiles across the line on next generation cars, new happy design direction. Peugeot is already like that.

The license plate at the front just messes up the look they're going for.

First thing I thought when I saw the new 3.. is that a 307?  ???

I like.  It has the same happy look on the front but a more muscular design.  I guess one could say it looks like a Happy Body Builder.  :)

The only change that I wish my car had is:
"All models add the auxiliary audio input jack and CD player is now MP3 and WMA compatible"

The rest makes no difference to me.

I like the yellow colour.

^ Yellow?!

Ok Banana boy, you have officially lost the right to make fun of my love of Leguna Seca Blue.

I like it.  Nice evolutionary update.  More muscular, however, the back-end is a little more bubble-bubble now.  I also prefer the current 17"ers.

Ferraris come in yellow.  Ferraris do not come in that hideous pre-school crayon blue.

I first thought of Peugeot as well - which of course also reminds me of certain Chrysler models from the recent past...

They nailed it. The older one always seemed too "flat" to me, esp. with a "longer" bloke behind the wheel. And I dont see a smile here.
