Plasma can refresh the images faster than LCD but that isn't saying that LCD is always slow. Its a case by case scenario. Most if not all Plasmas have highly reflective screens so if you have light in your room, it can become a mirror. I just sold my RPTV that also had a highly reflective screen and let me tell you, it can be annoying. During dark or even mildly dark scenes I could see the reflection of myself watching tv more than what was on the tv. Again its a case by case issue.
Two pieces of advice:
1) Calibrate the tv so it isn't running in torch mode. You don't need to get it ISF calibrated but just by going to a couple of websites (C-Net or AVS) you can get some good starting numbers.
2) Buy from a place that has a 100% return policy with NO exceptions. I find you have to live with the tv before you really know if you do like it or not.
Bring some action movies with a lot of fast moving scenes with you to demo the tv. Watch what you watch not what they have. A lot of stores will play movies like Cars or demo loop because they are great looking and easy to display so you won't see the flaws in the tvs.

Here is the review from C-Net on the LED DLP.

The short version is, this is a amazing tv that is often overlooked. If you don't sit at any weird angles to watch tv or need to hang it on a wall you can't go wrong and at $2000 for 61 inches its a bargin. Be warned....This tv needs to be calibrated to get a great picture from it. If you are seeing it store under the extremely bright lights, it can and will look like

. Plus Costco has a 90 day return policy plus extends all warranties to 2 years. You can't do better than that. If you want to see this tv I can give you a demo at my place under proper viewing conditions, just let me know. I'm in the Beaches area of TO.
