I hope Ford keeps to their plan to bring over the new 2010 Ford Focus along with all the engine choices that in line with Europe. This car looks great!!

Hideous.  Worse than the North American Focus (aesthetically).

Thank god it's only an artist's rendering and not the real car.

Hrrmmm weird....I think its the other way around.  Nothing could possibly be more hideous than the current Focus.  That is much more of a looker...although it is of course just concept art and the final product will probably be a bit more watered down.

I think it will look better in person, but as for euro diesel - fat chance..

These bulbous lumpy front ends are the designers ( poor) attempts to meet the Euro pedestrian safety standards I think.

If TPL is correct, I'd have to say that it certainly a huge improvement over the previous response to front end bumper regs - the dreaded Rubber Bricks.

Simple, clean, chrome bumpers with the two black rubber pads out front.

Now THAT was atrocious, particularly on a Spitfire.....

It is not so much the bumpers it is the shape of the nose of the car so that if a pedestrian is hit they bounce off nice soft sheet metal and don't hit hard stuff like engines. I believe there is a part of the standard that tries to make the front of cars more "friendly" to legs as well... it is better to break a long bone than to destroy an ankle/knee/hip joint.

Disagree. The only things on the market that are worse-looking than the current Focus are the current hideous-looking Hondas (specifically the Pilot and Ridgeline) with their Tonka toy front ends.

:iagree: If the '10 Focus looks anything like the picture, it'll be a huge improvement over the current one. Unsurprisingly, it looks a lot like the new Mazda3.

I might even consider buying one... ;D

Did I say that??  ??? ???

I not to keen on the front. These Euro Hatches are all using the same shape tho. U know the KA, Fiesta, and now this.

I have to say I really don't mind the NA focus. Plus It is really good value for the money. Fairly decent to drive with a manual and I like the look on the inside and outside. Also B/C no one likes it, it should make a really great used buy. :)

Thank god, I'm not the only one who sees this rendering as a melted ugly hideous thing:

Check the hood, and its indented midsection -- way to make the grille look like a demented smiley face.

Huge headlamps with a post-plastic-surgery look further offend the eyes

Yikes that thing is ugly. Even the Fusion front end looks better.

Quote
toyota snout, audi grille, mazda headlights, subaru body shape

it's awful

It kinda looks like the Mazda 6 front clip, but after having its face smashed with a shovel to give it that nice elongated look... Ford please don't tell us that you are FINALLY going to release the Euro Spec Focus in the US and then make it fugly... I would be SOOOOO mad.

etc etc.
