Parts and material are only 25% of the cost. Labour is the killer.

I got an estimate for $840. The dent is on the horizontal fold along the door and can’t be pinged out. Another pic with cheap camera:

While you're at it, that bike has a bent rim!!!!

That is where the crease in the door is from the impact, very hard to see….but it is there  :)

As you've probably figured out by now, that was the whole point of my comment.....

Talk with a paintless dent removal guy... they are miracle workers.  There was a similar crease-like dent in my wifes' door that someone left a note for as well (wow!), and autodentist here in Ottawa made it disappear 100%.

They usually do airbrishing for paint chip repair and it looks great, no bondo/filler, and you'd be surprised how inexpensive it is compared to a body shop (not that you care, it's not your $, but regardless of price it's a great place to try!).

Yup...I have seen some of this work and was amazed.  Cost is cheaper too!
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

That's something you would probably never see here in Brazil. Good for you snowman.

The only time I hit a car I was trying to park and bumped the front bumper of the car behind me with my rear bumper. I got out of the car and asked a guy who was taking care of cars in the street (pretty usual here in Brazil, they get a few coins for that) if he knew who was the owner of the car. He went into a pizza house and came out with the owner. Explained what happened to him, the guy was not much worried about the incident. Gave him my phone number and got his. He said to not worry as a proper wax would take care of that. Huge relieve to me.
